Okyay said; “The Turkish ceramics industry has a different and powerful position not only in Turkey but also in the world due to its capacity, quality, competitive power, entrepreneurship, diversity, work force, share of exports and its driving role in the country’s economy. With the power it gets from this position, Turkish Ceramics Federation will pursue its activities progressively as the blanket organization of the industry in collaboration with public agencies and also the other associations/organizations of the sector. To develop our industry, contributing to its sustainable growth, will be our main target in parallel with the development of our country which has a great advancement potential in Europe and the world. I believe that as the ceramics industry, we will make a major contribution to our country’s long-term objective of becoming a regional power in 2010 and a global one by 2020.
