Award to Ibrahim Bodur from Italy

‘‘Aldo Villa’’ award, an international award organized by Italy Ceramic Association, was given to Dr. Ibrahim Bodur, the Founding Managing Director of Kale Group of Companies.
International “Aldo Villa” award is a prestigious award formed in the memory of engineer Aldo Villa by Italian Ceramic Association and is given to entrepreneurs, executives, technicians or researches who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of the ceramic industry. This year; the award, handed out every two years in the last decade, was decided to be given to Dr. Ibrahim Bodur this year by the committee comprising the Heads of Sacmi, Italian Ceramic Association, Italian Ceramic Machine Manufacturers Association (Acimac), Italian Ceramic Manufacturers Confederation (Assopiastrelle) and International Ceramic Federation (CF).

Turkish Ambassador in Rome Uğur Ziyal, the Awards Committee comprising Sacmi President Domenico Olivieri, Italian Ceramic Association President Paolo Zannini, Italian Ceramic Machine Manufacturers Association (Acimac) President Pier Luigi Ponzoni, Italian Ceramic Manufacturers Confederation (Assopiastrelle) President Alfonso Panzani and ICF (International Ceramic Federation) President Gian Nicola Babini; Dr.İbrahim Bodur,  Zeynep Bodur Okyay, Kale Group Technical and Chemicals Group Head Osman Okyay, senior level representatives of Kale Group, the representatives of the world ceramic sector and a large number of guests attended the awards ceremony held at the Convention Palace in Piazza della Constituzione Square in Bologna on October 3, 2007. Italian Ceramic Association President Paolo Zannini, who gave the opening speech at the ceremony, said; “His intelligent and visionary administrative skills and correct business policies and his entrepreneur spirit has made Mr. Bodur a doyenne and leader in the national and international progress of the ceramic sector”.
