Fire of Anatolia Charms at Cersaie Trade Fair
Fire of Anatolia charms audience at Cersaie Trade Fair. The “Ceramics Promotion Group” which conducts the branding activities for Turkish ceramic ware in the world organized a “Fire of Anatolia” show at the Cersaie Trade Fair held in Italy. The group, which took about 500 ceramic industry professionals, local and foreign, from all over the world, to a magic tour of Anatolian culture on an evening of October 5, 2007, presented Anatolia’s millenniums old mythological and cultural synthesis through folk dances and folk music. Fire of Anatolia, which told the peace, culture and love of the fire of civilization ignited in Anatolia, to tens of millions of viewers in 58 countries lead by Germany, Belgium, Holland, Israel, China, Japan and USA, received great applause in its first live performance in Italy.
Ceramic Promotion Group Chairman Bahadır Kayan, who said that Turkey was promoted in addition to Turkish ceramics by this grand event, said; “The show was quite liked in Italy. I hope that this will lead to new opportunities for our firms in their global approaches. Our country is in the top third in the world ceramics industry, which creates a major added value for our country. In our other work in the future, we will boost not only our own industry but the brand Turkey as a whole. In fact, in many industries, the countries and sectors, firms, even brands started to become identified with each other. We, too, will prove that we are contenders in this global race. Presently, we, as Turks, carry out activities which may be models for many industries in the world”.
The charming show, which lasted about one hour, allowed the guests to see the impressive choreographies of the east and the west simultaneously. Special gifts were distributed to guests at the exit of the show where a cocktail party, which included selections from Turkish and Italian cuisine, was thrown beforehand. The passion and masterfulness of this fire which gives life to ceramics were once again displayed by the show which got standing applause lasting for minutes.
